For many years, Academician Bian Xiuwu has made tremendous contributions to the development of pathology in China.
He, tirelessly and enduring solitude, has been rooted in the frontline of pathology in medicine, education, and research for over 30 years, never forgetting his original aspirations.
He, with remarkable achievements, successfully revealed the characteristics of microvascular architecture, pioneered the concept of “Tumor Microvascular Architecture Phenotype,” and elucidated its mechanisms, elevating China’s tumor vascular pathology and tumor molecular pathology diagnosis to the international forefront.
He, with students everywhere, established and led the “Tumor Angiogenesis Mechanism and Anti-Cancer Drug Research Team,” which was among the first batch of Chongqing University Innovation Teams, and the “Tumor Stem Cell Innovation Research Team,” which was among the first batch of national innovation talent promotion plan key area innovation teams; among the over 100 graduate students he mentored, 23 have become academic leaders in their fields;
