The 10th National Workshop on Differential Diagnosis of Benign and Malignant Lymphoid Lesions and Lymphoma Academic Conference Successfully Concluded in Chongqing.


      The diagnosis and differential diagnosis of benign and malignant lymphoid lesions is one of the most difficult and complex areas in pathological diagnostic work. To enhance communication among domestic lymphoma pathology professionals, improve the level of lymphoma pathological diagnosis in China, and reduce misdiagnosis, the 10th National Training Course on Differential Diagnosis of Benign and Malignant Lymphoid Lesions and Lymphoma Academic Conference, jointly organized by Beijing Friendship Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University, the Chongqing Medical Pathology Professional Committee, the Lymphohematopoietic Group of the Chinese Society of Pathology, and the Chinese Committee of Pathology Workers, was held from June 8 to 11, 2017, at the International Academic Hall of the Teaching Building of Southwest Hospital in Chongqing. Nearly 200 lymphoma pathology enthusiasts from home and abroad gathered together for a splendid event.    


Conference Opening

       On June 9, the conference commenced under the chairmanship of Professor Yan Xiaochu. The conference content was rich and comprehensive, covering topics such as lymphoma immune architecture, WHO classification, diagnosis and differential diagnosis of common lymphomas and challenging cases, as well as providing an accessible introduction to the application of various pathological techniques in lymphoma diagnosis. The presentations were clear in logic and delivered vividly.

Seventeen lymphoma pathology experts from China and abroad delivered in-depth interpretations of doubts and difficulties in lymphoma pathological diagnosis through thematic reports, experience sharing, and challenging case slide readings. From basic knowledge of lymphoma to classification, application of common pathological techniques, hot research topics in lymphoma, diagnostic clues, and experiences, the discussions were closely aligned with the current characteristics of lymphoma diagnosis in China, offering a practical and profound exchange. This presented a high-level, innovative academic feast for the attending lymphoma pathology enthusiasts. The concurrent challenging case slide reading session was intense, with active interaction between experts and participants, receiving very positive feedback and evaluations.

Conclusion

At this grand lymphoma event, Maxin, together with lymphoma pathology enthusiasts nationwide, witnessed the dedication and meticulousness of lymphoma pathology professionals, and felt the steadfast belief of our pathologists in upholding integrity and pursuing excellence. Maxin will carry forward this vision, collaborating with pathology colleagues to build a high-end academic platform for pathology, and strive to contribute more to the dissemination of pathology knowledge in China!
