Ten Years of Honing a Sword, One Moment to Test Its Edge: The 2018 USCAP Debut of Maxin’s Fully Automated Pathology Staining System on the International Stage

In March, the “Spring City”—Vancouver—is brimming with vitality and energy. The global pathology grand event, the 107th USCAP Annual Meeting in 2018, also arrived in sync with spring, grandly opening in this beautiful city. Nearly 5,000 experts and scholars from the pathology field worldwide gathered here to visit, exchange ideas, and learn from each other. Undoubtedly, this grand event is both a hall for global pathologists to communicate, learn, and broaden their horizons, and an arena for friendly competition among enterprises and institutions in various subfields of the pathology industry.

This is the editor’s second time attending the USCAP conference in person. Through exchanges with participants and peers, it is fully evident that this year’s USCAP featured more close, high-quality questions and warm-hearted communication. For all participants, it was of extraordinary significance—both rewarding and heartfelt.

Approximately 100 Chinese pathology experts and scholars participated in this grand event, showcasing the positive energy of Chinese pathology to the world’s pathology scholars from different perspectives. Many domestic pathology experts presented their posters at the USCAP conference, absorbing cutting-edge pathology knowledge while sharing their research findings, and actively participated in oral presentations for academic exchange.

It is worth mentioning that during the conference, the Chinese American Pathologists Association (CAPA) also held a series of academic activities simultaneously. Young pathology talents such as Professor Yang Wentao and Professor Xie Wenjie delivered excellent full-English lectures, using precise yet graceful language to convey the positive voice of Chinese pathology workers to international pathology experts and scholars.
