Max2inOneTM Paraffin Section Deparaffinization and Antigen Retrieval System
I. Max2inOneTM LP Paraffin Section Dewaxing Antigen Retrieval Solution
1. Scope of Application: Suitable for dewaxing and citrate antigen retrieval of tissue sections fixed with formalin and embedded in paraffin.
2. Product Number: DAS-0010/0011
3. Product Form: Liquid, concentrated (20×).
4. Instructions for Use:
(1) Preparation of working solution: Dilute according to the required amount of working solution, using a ratio of concentrate: distilled water (1:19), and mix well.
(2) Dewaxing and antigen retrieval steps: Place an appropriate amount of working solution in a stainless steel pressure cooker. Place the high-temperature resistant staining rack containing the tissue sections to be dewaxed and antigen-retrieved into the pot. Cover the pot, secure the pressure valve, and heat on an 800-1000W induction cooker until steam is emitted, then start timing for 1.5 minutes. Remove the stainless steel pressure cooker from the induction cooker and allow it to cool naturally at room temperature for 10 minutes. Then, rinse the outer wall of the pressure cooker with tap water to accelerate the cooling of the retrieval solution inside. After cooling to room temperature, remove the sections and wash thoroughly under tap water to completely remove the dewaxing antigen retrieval solution. Rinse the sections with PBS and then proceed according to the operating steps of the relevant Maixin kit.
II. Max2inOneTM HP Paraffin Section Dewaxing Antigen Retrieval Solution
1. Scope of Application: Suitable for dewaxing and EDTA (EGTA, Tris/EDTA) antigen retrieval of tissue sections fixed with formalin and embedded in paraffin. 2. Product Number: DAS-0020/0021
3. Product Form: Liquid, concentrated (20×).
4. Instructions for Use:
(1) Preparation of working solution: Dilute according to the required amount of working solution, using a ratio of concentrate: distilled water (1:19), and mix well.
(2) Dewaxing and antigen retrieval steps: Place an appropriate amount of working solution in a stainless steel pot. Place the high-temperature resistant staining rack containing the tissue sections to be dewaxed and antigen-retrieved into the pot. Cover the pot and heat on an induction cooker until it reaches a gentle boil, then start timing for 20 minutes. Remove the stainless steel pot from the induction cooker and allow it to cool naturally at room temperature. Remove the sections and wash thoroughly under tap water to completely remove the dewaxing antigen retrieval solution. Rinse the sections with PBS and then proceed according to the operating steps of the relevant Maixin kit.

V. Precautions
1. Do not use copper staining racks to prevent changes in the pH of the retrieval solution from affecting the retrieval efficacy;
2. After retrieval, the retrieval solution must be cooled before removing the sections. It is recommended to use a gentle cooling method rather than rapid cooling, as rapid cooling can easily cause tissue detachment and insufficient antigen exposure; after removal, the sections need to be thoroughly washed with tap water, otherwise it may adversely affect subsequent immunohistochemical staining results;
3. When using the Max2inOneTM paraffin section dewaxing antigen retrieval system for immunohistochemical experiments, the amount of working solution must ensure that the sections are always immersed in the liquid;
4. To prevent tissue detachment, slides must be treated with an anti-detachment coating before use (Maixin product number: SLI-2001);
5. The tap water washing step is very important. If not done thoroughly, it may adversely affect subsequent immunohistochemical staining results.
