High-Level Dialogue Among Pathology Experts from Across the Taiwan Strait and Four Regions: Patient-Centered Precision Medicine Model
To “promote the development of precision medicine across the Taiwan Strait and advance scientific and technological progress for a Healthy China,” the “First Cross-Strait Precision Medicine International Summit Forum,” organized by the Fujian Cross-Strait Precision Medicine Association, co-organized by the Taiwan Society of Pathology, Taiwan Precision Medicine Association, Fujian Provincial Hospital, Fujian Provincial Pathology Quality Control Center, Fujian Cancer Hospital, Pathology Professional Committee of Fujian Anti-Cancer Association, and Pathology Branch of Fujian Medical Association, and hosted by Fuzhou Maixin Biotechnology Development Co., Ltd. and Fujian Immunopathology Reagent Enterprise Engineering Technology Research Center, is scheduled to be held from November 4-6, 2016, in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province.
This conference will feature presentations from numerous internationally renowned precision medicine experts, including those from Taiwan Veterans General Hospital, Taiwan Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Hong Kong College of Pathologists, Cleveland Clinic in the USA, Shih Hsin University in Taiwan, The University of Hong Kong, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Peking University People’s Hospital, and more.
The two-day conference will focus on precision medicine research topics such as lung cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, and cervical cancer, which are key priorities under China’s “13th Five-Year Plan” national strategy for “Precision Medicine.” It aims to learn from and introduce international experiences in precision medicine development, explore and exchange the “patient-centered precision medical model,” actively leverage the role of academic platforms, and promote the improvement and enhancement of the overall medical environment, medical order, and medical standards through new technologies, methods, and ideas, thereby achieving the grand development goal of a Healthy China.
