Gathering in Xi’an, Discussing Pathology Together
To enhance the domestic level of pathological diagnosis for tumor diseases and align with the latest international pathological diagnostic standards, the “Third Annual Conference of the Pathology Branch of the China International Exchange and Promotion Association for Medical and Health Care and the 2017 Lymphatic/Urogenital Pathology Conference” was successfully held from May 12 to 14, 2017, at the Jianguo Hotel in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province. The event was organized by the Pathology Branch of the China International Exchange and Promotion Association for Medical and Health Care, and co-organized by the Department of Basic Pathology of the Fourth Military Medical University and the Pathology Department of Xijing Hospital, Huaxia Pathology Network, and 91360 Smart Pathology Network. It attracted over 300 pathology representatives from across the country.

On May 13, the conference commenced under the chairmanship of Professor Wang Zhe from the Pathology Department of Xijing Hospital, Fourth Military Medical University. Renowned domestic pathology expert Academician Liu Tonghua delivered the opening speech. Distinguished pathology experts from home and abroad presented a rich and profound academic feast on lymphatic/urogenital pathology topics for the pathology representatives: from case sharing to pathological discussions, medical history data to clinical manifestations, etiology classification to differential diagnosis, delving layer by layer and analyzing meticulously. They closely integrated current pathological conditions with clinical practical experience, deeply interpreting and analyzing the doubts and difficulties in pathological diagnosis. This provided the attending representatives with new understandings and perspectives on pathological diagnosis, benefiting them greatly.
