Chinese Research Hospital Association Establishes Pathology Professional Committee in Urumqi

On August 20, 2016, the Pathology Professional Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association was established at the Xinjiang Urumqi International Convention and Exhibition Center.Maxin, as one of the invited enterprise representatives,participated in this conference.

The Chinese Research Hospital Association is a medical institution with the “trinity” functions of medical services, scientific research, and clinical teaching, aiming to explore and build research-oriented hospitals. It serves as an important platform for promoting theoretical research, deepening academic exchanges, accelerating translational medicine, and improving talent cultivation. In the new era of precision medicine, pathology research in China is progressing rapidly, urgently requiring more diverse professional academic platforms to provide new methods, technologies, and ideas for pathology research and development. Therefore, the Pathology Professional Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association (hereinafter referred to as the “Pathology Committee”) came into being.

Wang Faqiang, President of the Chinese Research Hospital Association, Vice Presidents Yi Xueming and Liu Xihua (who also serves as Secretary-General), Deputy Secretaries-General Yao Jun, Li Dong, and Hao Ruisheng attended the founding conference and delivered speeches.

The Pathology Professional Committee is affiliated with Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center, with participation from many renowned hospitals across the country, comprising a total of 167 members. Academician Liu Tonghua serves as the first Honorary Chairperson. Professors Bian Xiuwu from Southwest Hospital affiliated with the Third Military Medical University, Bu Hong from West China Hospital of Sichuan University, Ding Yanqing from Southern Medical University in Guangzhou, Ding Huaye from Beijing Military General Hospital, Zhou Xiaojun from Nanjing Military General Hospital, and 23 others serve as advisors. Professor Du Xiang from Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center serves as the Chairperson. Experts including Wang Guoping, Liang Zhiyong, Liu Yanhui, Shi Huaiyin, Zhou Qiao, Ying Jianming, Sun Qing, Zhang Wei, Wang Zhe, and Zheng Limou (listed in no particular order) were elected as Vice Chairpersons. Professor Wang Jian serves as the Secretary-General.

At the founding conference, President Wang Faqiang of the Chinese Research Hospital Association pointed out that the establishment of the Professional Committee is a new, broader academic platform added on the basis of existing relevant pathology academic organizations such as the Chinese Medical Association and the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, adhering to the original intention of learning, referencing, cooperating, and sharing, and endowed with new innovative concepts and models. Pathology is regarded as a “bridge discipline” between basic medicine and clinical medicine. At the same time, it is also one of the important disciplines that modern medical models and development concepts must rely on. Whether it is evidence-based medicine, precision medicine, or its close connection with clinical medicine, it demonstrates its authority in medical diagnosis and fully reflects its irreplaceable and important role in medicine. President Wang also placed high hopes on the establishment of the Professional Committee, hoping that it will strengthen academic exchanges and achievement sharing, strive to build the Committee into a platform with “international academic vision,” a platform for “innovative evidence-based translation,” and a platform for “supporting young talents.” Adhering to the Chinese Research Hospital Association’s philosophy of “openness, inclusiveness, innovation, cooperation, and sharing,” it has widely attracted experts and scholars from related fields in pathology to join, forming an elite team that is vigorous, highly innovative, and closely integrates clinical practice with scientific research. It is believed that under the leadership of Professor Du Xiang and with the joint efforts of all professors and colleagues, the Professional Committee will be well organized, constructed, and developed, making positive contributions to promoting the development of research-oriented hospitals and disciplines in China.

Professor Bian Xiuwu, Chairperson of the Pathology Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and Professor Ding Yanqing, Chairperson of the Pathology Physician Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, attended and delivered speeches. They jointly congratulated the establishment of the Pathology Professional Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association and expressed hope that the Committee would firmly grasp the development direction of the Chinese Research Hospital Association and jointly promote the development of pathology in China.

On the occasion ofthe establishment of the Pathology Professional Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association,Academician Liu Tonghua of the Chinese Academy of Sciences sent an inscription:

   At the first summit forum of the Pathology Professional Committee of the Chinese Research Hospital Association held on August 21, Maxin’s General Manager Wang Xiaoya, along with other invited enterprises, engaged in discussions with renowned pathology experts including Professor Zhang Wei from the Pathology Department of the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University, and Chinese-American pathologists Ping Tang (University of Rochester, USA), Yun Gong (MD Anderson Cancer Center, University of Texas, USA), Xiaoping Sun (MD Anderson Cancer Center, University of Texas, USA), and Ximing James Yang (Northwestern University Hospital, USA) on “the promotion of pathology discipline development by the pathology industry and related content of clinical and pathological diagnosis.” At this grand event, Maxin genuinely rejoiced in the current prosperity and development of domestic pathology societies and academia, while also feeling greatly inspired. As a representative of the national pathology industry, Maxin will uphold its original aspirations, closely follow the development trend of the pathology discipline, forge ahead, and persist in accumulating strength for the development and progress of pathology, aspiring to be the most steadfast guardian on the path of Chinese pathologists pursuing their dreams!
