A Decade of Reunion, Continuing the Pathology Bond—Reflections on the Ninth Annual Pathology Conference and First Technical Exchange in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region

The ‘9th Annual Pathology Conference and 1st Technical Exchange Conference of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region’, hosted by the Pathology Branch of Inner Mongolia Medical Association and co-organized by the People’s Hospital of Keyouqian Banner, Xing’an League, was held as scheduled from August 3rd to 5th, 2018, in the beautiful city of Ulanhot. With the attention and support of leaders at all levels, the conference commenced.

This conference consisted of three parts: a pre-conference immunohistochemistry quality control training course, the main diagnostic session during the conference, and thematic lectures in the technical sub-session. The conference content was rich and splendid, with a record number of attendees.

Part1: Immunohistochemistry Quality Control Training Course

This immunohistochemistry quality control training course was divided into theoretical training and practical operation. Senior professional instructors from Maixin Company provided theoretical training on immunohistochemistry techniques, FISH technology, and the Maixin LUMATAS fully automatic immunohistochemistry staining system. Subsequently, in the practical session, participants were divided into groups for hands-on instruction in immunohistochemistry and FISH. All trainees independently performed experimental operations under the guidance of the instructors. Through the combination of theoretical explanations and on-site operations, each participant could identify issues during theoretical learning and improve standardization through practical exercises.

This conference invited numerous domestic experts, including Zhou Xiaoge from Beijing Friendship Hospital, Wang Zhe from Xijing Hospital of Air Force Medical University, Wang Gongwei from Peking University People’s Hospital, Li Zengshan from Xijing Hospital of Air Force Medical University, and Fan Xiangshan from Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital in Jiangsu Province. They presented a feast of ideas and academic insights for the attendees. The experts combined difficult cases with clinical experience to deeply analyze challenging points in pathological diagnosis, providing new ideas and directions for the participants. During the conference presentation, Maixin Company introduced the various performance parameters and usage instructions of the LUMATAS fully automatic immunohistochemistry staining instrument, which is independently developed and possesses full intellectual property rights by Maixin. This received affirmation and positive feedback from the attendees.

Part4: Maixin’s Presence

On this grand occasion, Maixin actively participated, supporting pathological diagnosis from multiple perspectives including academic promotion and technical support.
