Recalling the Yichang Conference Journey, Building Lymph Pathology Bonds Together

The 9th National Lymphoid Tissue Benign and Malignant Lesions Differential Diagnosis Training Course and Lymphoma Academic Conference, jointly organized by Beijing Friendship Hospital affiliated with Capital Medical University, Beijing Clinical Research Institute Lymphoma Diagnosis Center, Chinese Medical Association Pathology Branch Lymphohematopoietic Diseases Group (in preparation), Chinese Pathology Workers Committee, and China Anti-Lymphoma Alliance, and hosted by the First Clinical Medical College of Three Gorges University/Hubei Yichang Central People’s Hospital, was successfully held from August 3rd to 6th in Yichang, Hubei.
This grand event gathered 15 renowned domestic lymphoma experts including Zhou Xiaoge, Wang Zhe, Chen Gang, Yin Weihua, Xiao Hualiang, Li Wensheng, Yan Xiaochu, Pan Huaxiong, Zheng Yuanyuan, Xie Jianlan, Zhang Yanlin, Liu Fang, Li Yu, Ao Qilin, and Zhai Qiongli to deliver lectures. Director Hu Yuchang, on behalf of the Pathology Department of the First Clinical Medical College of Three Gorges University/Hubei Yichang Central People’s Hospital, extended a sincere welcome and heartfelt thanks for the conference being held in Yichang and for the arrival of all the experts.
During the conference, experts discussed new understandings, classifications, and diagnostic guidelines for lymphoma-related diseases based on their years of diagnostic experience and cases, and shared their recent research progress. Additionally, the conference themes were novel, and the lecture content was rich and practical. Attendees from all over the country expressed that they benefited greatly.
It is worth mentioning that after each special report at this conference, representatives actively spoke their minds, expressed their opinions, interacted enthusiastically, and the learning atmosphere was strong. Especially during the difficult case reading session chaired by Professor Ji Xiaolong, there were differing opinions and a hundred schools of thought contending, all in pursuit of the ‘truth’ for pathologists. Their passion for learning and dedication deeply moved everyone present.
Compared to previous ones, this lymphoma conference placed greater emphasis on the exchange and learning of lymphoma treatment experiences across regions, truly reflecting the original intention of the conference. It was a pure lymphoma forum. At the end of the conference, Professor Zhou Xiaoge delivered a summary, expressing hopes for the future and encouraging more pathology colleagues interested in lymphoma pathological diagnosis research to participate and jointly contribute to the development of lymphoma diagnosis and treatment!
