The 6th Beijing Academic Annual Conference on Pathology Technology in 2017 Successfully Convenes
The 6th Beijing Annual Academic Conference on Pathology Technology in 2017 was grandly held at the Beijing Jinma Grand Hotel from December 8th to 9th. This conference was organized by the Technology Group of the Beijing Medical Association Pathology Branch, the Pathology Equipment Branch of the China Medical Equipment Association, and the Beijing Pathology Quality Control and Improvement Center. It focused on various topics including pathology technology, the application of new equipment, new products, and new reagents, standardized laboratory management, standardized pathology construction, establishment of biosafety facilities, the use, maintenance, and upkeep of laboratory instruments and equipment, as well as the progress and prospects of pathology technology. Reports and discussions were conducted on these issues, with nearly 400 pathology technology representatives participating in the conference.
The opening ceremony of the conference was hosted by Zhang Yan, Deputy Leader of the Beijing Pathology Technology Group. Professor Cui Quancai from the Pathology Department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital attended on behalf of the Beijing Pathology Quality Control and Improvement Center and delivered an important speech. Professor Wang Detian, Honorary Leader of the Fourth Technology Group of the Beijing Medical Association Pathology Branch, summarized the achievements made by the Beijing Technology Group over the years and expressed deep expectations for the new leadership team. Wang Wei, Leader of the Technology Group of the Beijing Medical Association Pathology Branch and Technical Leader of the Pathology Department at Beijing Anzhen Hospital, Capital Medical University, reviewed the growth journey of the Beijing Technology Group, thanked everyone for their support and hard work in the group’s activities, and expressed willingness to work together with group members to continuously strengthen organizational development, carry out more meaningful academic activities, and collaborate with pathology technology peers nationwide to promote the development of pathology technology in China.
Subsequently, the main conference reports officially began. Various teachers from the Beijing Technology Group conducted in-depth analyses from different perspectives on the conference topics, covering numerous fields such as routine techniques, cytology, special staining, immunohistochemistry, molecular pathology, and information management, providing attendees with a high-quality intellectual feast. After the reports, Hou Fang, Secretary of the Beijing Pathology Technology Group and a member of the Youth Committee of the Beijing Medical Association Pathology Branch, presented awards to the winners of outstanding papers. Wang Wei, Leader of the Technology Group of the Beijing Medical Association Pathology Branch, delivered the closing speech. The conference concluded successfully in a warm and harmonious atmosphere.
