MaiXin Pathology Forum Lecture One

Speaker: Professor Wu Bingquan
Lecture Topic: The Historical Mission and Responsibility of Maxin

A new year carries new dreams. In 2015, Maxin plans to extend invitations to leading figures in the pathology industry to serve as guest speakers, delivering thematic reports on the industry (including specialized fields) and dreams to both veteran and new Maxin employees, especially the fresh talent recruited in recent years. This initiative aims to further enhance the professional competence of Maxin staff, contributing to China’s pathology cause with higher-quality services and more refined technology.
On January 9th, the renowned domestic pathology expert—Professor Wu Bingquan from Peking University Health Science Center—arrived in Rongcheng. He inspected and guided Maxin’s work after its relocation to the new campus and delivered a speech titled “The Historical Mission and Responsibility of Maxin” (Maxin Pathology Forum · First Lecture) to all company employees. From a fresh perspective and with unique thinking, he brilliantly presented a moving chapter on the innovative research and transformative changes required by pathology professionals and enterprises to adapt to the historical mission and responsibilities of the industry.
First, Professor Wu began with several revolutionary technologies in the molecular diagnostics industry, presenting a historical panorama of industry development and technological transformation. He then introduced the narrow and broad concepts of molecular diagnostics in an accessible manner, providing examples to elaborate on the overall landscape of molecular diagnostic technologies and the inseparable, mutually reinforcing relationship between immunohistochemistry and molecular diagnostics. He also discussed the efforts needed in the modern era, from equipment development and reagent creation to establishing innovative, professional, and landmark testing systems (knowledge economy), and then transitioning to market expansion, academic marketing, and technical support (experience economy). The entire lecture was centered on integrating industry-academia-research collaboration with market cultivation and expansion, aligning with Maxin’s development history. This resonated deeply with the experienced senior Maxin employees and instilled a strong sense of belonging and pride in the new generation who have just entered the company and this field. Finally, Professor Wu concluded with Steve Jobs’ “Stay hungry, stay foolish,” encouraging Maxin employees to maintain a mindset of “remaining hungry for knowledge and humble in spirit,” and to embrace the brilliant future of China’s pathology cause with their best state.
