Professor Wu Bingquan, as a pathologist, has achieved fruitful results;as an educator, his students are spread all over the world.Although time could not retain Professor Wuto dedicate a few more years to the pathology cause, he devoted his limited life to the infinite pathology career he loved.
For Chinese pathology, Professor Wu Bingquan was a promoter and pioneer who delved deeply for over sixty years, absorbing the strengths of various schools, embracing new knowledge and ideas, and courageously seeking truth, making the territory of pathology increasingly broad; for Maixin, Professor Wu Bingquan was an indispensable mentor by our side, an unparalleled idol in our hearts, and a unique guide from afar.
I still remember at the 20th anniversary of Maixin’s establishment, Professor Wu compared it to ivy, wishing Maixin to be like ivy, always radiating youth and vitality.
Five years ago, in a speech titled ‘Maixin’s Historical Mission and Responsibility,’ Professor Wu presented a historical picture of industry development and technological transformation to Maixin from a brand-new perspective. With his solid professional knowledge, innovative speaking style, and strong sense of responsibility and mission, he inspired Maixin people to ponder how to carry the Chinese pathology dream; how to better assist pathologists in making correct/precise diagnoses; and how to conduct innovative research and transformative changes.
