Warm Congratulations on the Successful Conclusion of the “2017 Henan Province Pathology Technology Seminar and Immunohistochemistry Training Course”
Aimed at improving the technical level of pathology technicians in Henan Province, promoting the development of pathology technology, and providing a platform for technicians to learn from and exchange with each other, the ‘2017 Henan Province Pathology Technology Seminar and Immunohistochemistry Training Course,’ hosted by the Pathology Technology Group of the Henan Medical Association Pathology Branch and co-organized by Shangqiu First People’s Hospital, successfully concluded in the ancient city of Shangqiu from June 2-4, 2017!
This training attracted many grassroots pathology technicians from various cities in Henan Province to actively register and participate. On the evening of registration, a theoretical lecture for the immunohistochemistry training course was held. Zhou Honghui from Maixin Company shared topics on ‘Precautions for Immunohistochemistry Staining’ and ‘Application and Precautions of Antigen Retrieval Technology’ with the attending teachers. He introduced common problems, causes, and countermeasures in the immunohistochemistry staining process, and provided a detailed analysis of various antigen retrieval methods, precautions, and how to make reasonable choices in immunohistochemistry staining. Using vivid and rich example images for intuitive comparison, the presentation was easy to understand. After the lecture, in-depth discussions and exchanges were conducted with some teachers.
Thisimmunohistochemistry training course practical operation was divided into 3 groups, with a total of 65 participating units. Under the patient explanations and careful guidance of the instructors, the trainees led by the Maixin group personally operated and successfully completed all experiments. The entire process was orderly and well-organized.
After steps such as re-sorting and numbering, expert review, and comprehensive scoring, the final statistical results showed that some trainees led by the Maixin group achieved outstanding results, with comprehensive scores far ahead and ranking at the top. They successfully obtained the training qualification certificates issued by the conference. For many units and trainees who have not yet started or plan to start immunohistochemistry testing, this is both an affirmation and an encouragement.
The conference was chaired by Gao Dongling, the head of the Henan Province Pathology Technology Group. Professor Li Wencai, the chairman of the Henan Medical Association Pathology Branch, delivered the opening speech. Congratulations were given by Wang Detian, Chief Technician of Peking Union Medical College Hospital and Vice Chairman of the Pathology Technology Group of the Chinese Medical Association Pathology Branch and Vice Chairman of the Pathology Equipment Technology Committee of the China Medical Equipment Association; Han Chuan’en, President of Shangqiu First People’s Hospital; and Shao Shiqing, Secretary-General of the Shangqiu Medical Association. The conference invited many pathology technology experts from inside and outside the province to give lectures, covering various aspects such as HE staining, immunohistochemistry, and molecular pathology. The content was rich, detailed, and focused.

These attracted attention and support from many conference representatives.
