2011 National Symposium on Immunohistochemistry Successfully Concluded
On May 31, 2011, the ‘2011 National Immunohistochemistry Seminar’, jointly organized by the Editorial Department of the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Pathology and the Fujian Provincial Pathology Quality Control Center, and co-organized by Fuzhou Maixin Biotechnology Development Co., Ltd., successfully concluded in Fuzhou City, Fujian Province. Attending the opening ceremony of this conference were Deputy Director Chen Qiuli and Director Ming Qiang from the Fujian Provincial Health Department, Deputy Director Du Min from the Fujian Provincial Science and Technology Department, Professor Wu Bingquan from the Pathology Department of Peking University, Professor Gong Xiyu, Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Clinical and Experimental Pathology, Professor Shi Shanrong from the Pathology Department of the University of Southern California, USA, and Vice President Weng Guoxing and Director Chen Xiaoyan from Fujian Provincial Hospital. A total of participants from across the country300pathology scholars attended this grand event.
This conference focused on the theme of ‘Antigen Retrieval and Standardization of Immunohistochemistry,’ aligning with current hot topics in the pathology industry. Over the two-day conference, renowned domestic and international experts were specially invited to provide comprehensive interpretations on various aspects, including immunohistochemical quantification, antigen retrieval techniques, staining quality control management, immunohistochemical applications, interpretation of staining results, and automation of immunohistochemistry. The conference organically integrated pathology techniques with pathological diagnosis, offering rich academic content and a strong atmosphere, which fully engaged the enthusiasm of the participants. It aimed to promote the popularization of immunohistochemical standardization and enhance the quality management and control of immunohistochemistry.
